We had to file a missing persons report
How did the muscadine vine turn out? I've got a little acre and 1/2 that my house is on and the entire perimeter is tree line with muscadine throughout, about half is fruit bearing
Knock knock ... anybody home?😦
Not enough donut holes
I know it's been a long time since you made this video lol but I just put an addition on my kitchen that was a decent size and I really wish I would have did it right after I did it two years ago kick myself in the ass lol
Does anybody know what bird is making that racket at 4:16??
Yep, thats a northern cardinal. 100%
@@Fluxion11 thank you. I get woke up EVERY dawn by that noise. Now I know who to curse.Of course it would be a protected bird so cursing and putting in ear plugs is all I can do. 😂😂
Agree not enough regarding in walls. Concrete seems too dry to settle into wall cavity? For your safety I hope walls are full and more rewarding involved. The appearance of your work looks good
Silver Burrow
Looks good buddy! A+++
What kind of clamp is that? I'm going to build a railing like this, and already have the lumberjack tools, but the clamp is the one thing I'm missing.
It says part 2. Is there a part 1?
Great job Sir!
They won’t let people mount on wood anymore it doesn’t last too long and it’s a mess to replace. Unistrut and metal poles into cement last forever and will look good still in a few years
wait a minute there is no door, no top access so are you going to dig a tunnel in order to get inside it in the earth ground????
Thanks! now i can build a nest box!
Not enough steel for the roof. I'd be scared to walk under that.
I would have put atleast two layers in there minimum. Woulda cost just a few bucks is all for 5 times the strength.
You don't have nearly enough rebar in the roof or rebars to tie the roof to the block wall. Also for concrete roofs you need the metal support sheet as a base. You were smart to leave the support lumber inside. I would fill the inside with 4x4 posts to prevent anyone going inside. Plus cheap concrete without reinforced fibers is a no no for concrete roof systems.😮 The concrete block wall needs to be rebar'd and the voids filled with concrete to prevent the wall from falling sideways and dropping the roof. I would only allow tax collectors or lawyers to use that space.
I hear ya on the hardware cloth. I am still wearing a few divots in my lip where the 1/2” stuff sprung back and bit me.
This was very helpful thank you! Time to get out there and do mine...
What model were your disconnect boxes?
Siemens
Good job.
Just now (4/23) found Your work on this pour. I'm certain I'm closer to the age of a father to you. But, Sir, watching this.. You're a Better Man Than Me !! WHEW ! !! !
That wall is not going to save you from a tornado! You have no rebar in your footing. I also would mechanically connect the wall to the footing by having rebar from the foots going into the brick
Great job and great t-shirt 😆
Please 🙏 get rid of that background noise. It's irritating. I had to cut all sound off, and I know that there was nature sounds [birds, and animals, wind/ breeze] in the background. We would prefer to hear nature....Instead of noise.
New subscriber thanks to Fluty Lick Homestead. Going to show my ignorance but what do you do with the snake gourd?
Nothing better than getting a garden started...hope it all came together ok :) That's a beautiful dog house!
World economic reform will be taking everyone's homes you'll own absolutely nothing be happy about it.
lol.. all these trumptards dressed up in their man drag. what a joke.
Can’t believe we don’t know each other…….we have the same group of friends that help us get things done! 😂🤦🏻♂️🤣 Great job!!👷🏼♂️
A possum? My 17 pound Terrier kills those.
Thanks!
Beautiful. I would have to stop the urge to throw the idiotic screamer off the boat. ffs
Our new home has a 1500 square foot basement, and something I’ve never seen before… the basement has a door, to another basement! It’s only about 250 square feet, but more than enough space to spend a day or two in an emergency!
That's just unbelievable. Anyway, thanks for the video. At least now I KNOW I'll have to hire some guys to do this for me. Not as young as I used to be.
You'll get cancer, cutting concrete like that, without respirator or mask.
I myself would have cleared out more of the dirt, then made sure it was level, put chip grave down, stamp it down, & then built forms to make my footings. Also checking to make sure I was level. That way I wouldn’t have to cut any of the cinder blocks. It’s a good idea though
where can i get the plate like this and how much does it cost
Wow! I can't believe how far away your mixer and concrete mix was. And then to have to shovel it out of the wheel barrel... Wow. My back hurts just watching you.
how do you stop rain water from sipping in at the hinges' crack?
I'm wondering the same thing... I just built boxes. 5/4" x 3" standing against the coop and the box top cover under the 5/4" so there is no crack for the rain. I also made what i call a contraption using counter weights and a cable to hold the cover open and assist in opening. A neat arrangement. Cost me about $9 in hardware and used some old angle iron on hand for the weight. Just finished caulking and will paint tomorrow. I'll let you know if it does not stay high and dry.
Back in the duck and cover days my father dug out ten feet deep under our house and put in concrete filled cinder blocks. He built a 1000 bottle wine cellar with 3 wood barrels and a tasting area. We had our priorities straight. Die drunk
One less tick-eating lyme disease fending warrior out there!
My family and I have been living in an off grid cabin for four years. We are currently building a home, and put in a similar bunker/caller in our house with access in our master closet. Glad to see we're not the only ones doing this.
Id like to build one... Out of donut holes. Lol
More volume, when you speak. T Y
I admire your work ethic. A can-do attitude built this country.
Ms.B is adorable. Good use of resources and thanks.🥳🥳🥳
I often wonder if you ever building the house.. or finished the pole barn house?
We have finished the pole barn house and are currently living in it.
Miss b is beautiful
